You might like this one, the Bourne movies have a pretty nice soundtrack. But it's all personal choice.

As a "Movie Music" listener, i can advice you the following:
Gladiator, King Arthur, both Narnia, Batman Begins, The Last Samurai, The Dark Knight,Collateral, Thin Red Line (Good one), The Rock (i know, its before 2000), Man of Fire (specially The End, made with Lissa Gerard). Also recently, i look into Game Soundtracks. Jeremy Soule's are far the best. For example: Guild Wars (i herd dis game is gud), Oblivion (very beatiful, one of the best), Morrowind, Guild Wars Factions Collectors (4 of them are very decent), Prop Collectors (Journey to the Lion's Arch <3).

Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem, I'm sure you are familiar with some of the songs Daft Punk (they made the entire OST) released on single from this one.
And I also like the soundtrack to Casshern, but that's probably more personal taste.
As for game soundtracks, Chrono Trigger is of course the way to go!

mmmk are you interested in movies that have original scores (example....the guy who did beetlejuice/men in black/edward scissor hands) to them or movies that have kick ass soundtracks (dazed and confuzzled, forrest gump)?

Not exactly breathtaking, but very awesome music nonetheless.

Really, just look into the composers. Hans Zimmer has had some great stuff out lately, did the Pirates movies(1,2&3 though Klaus Badelt gets the most credit for the 1st one), Batman Begins & The Dark Knight, The Last Samurai, and many others. Here is his website. http://www.hans-zimmer.com/fr/index.php You can listen to some of his the tracks from different movies he has done.
Also, John Williams is older composer but still excellent. He did the Star Wars movies, the Superman movies (with Christopher Reeves) and many others.
Those are the two that I most commonly listen to and they are pretty solid composers.

The orignal star wars trilogy
While not a movie, the intro songs to both seasons of Ghost in the Shell are very enchanting.
